Accessibility statement
Our commitment
hashiva.tv is the home of the anime series HASHIVA. We want everyone to be able to use it comfortably, including with a keyboard alone, a screen reader, enlarged text or operating system contrast settings.
Conformance
The site is built to the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 2013, and Israeli Standard 5568 at level AA. It is also tested against WCAG 2.2 level AA.
The site does not use an accessibility overlay plugin. Accessibility is built into the site's own code, so it works with the assistive technology you already use.
What we did
- A clear heading and landmark structure, with a skip link to the content.
- Full keyboard operation with a visible focus indicator.
- Text colour contrast of at least 4.5:1.
- Zoom to 400% without horizontal scrolling.
- Alternative text for every image that carries information.
- A button that stops all motion on the site, and respect for the operating system's reduced motion setting.
- No sound plays by itself. The song starts only when you press its button, and its words appear on screen.
- Right-to-left Hebrew and left-to-right English.
Known limitations
Episode subtitles are burned into the picture. They cannot be resized or recoloured, so each language has its own version.
The episodes currently have no audio description and no full transcript.
The video player belongs to YouTube, which is responsible for its accessibility. Every episode can also be opened directly on YouTube.
